Mandalas
The word 'mandala' comes from Sanskrit and means 'sacred' or 'magic' circle. Mandalas are geometric designs that are made through uniform divisions of a circle. In the Hindu and Buddhist religions they carry a deep spiritual meaning, but they are also found in almost every culture and spiritual tradition. For thousands of years mandalas have served as a means to expanded thinking. The images are beyond language and the rational mind.
The images you see here are abstract renderings of photographic images of flowers, wonderful to look at and contemplate on many levels. I invite the viewer to find their own meaning in each image.
Images are available for sale as prints only or with a custom mat that has been covered with fabric carefully chosen to coordinate with each individual print. Standard sizes are 5x5 inch prints with an 8x8 inch mat and 8x8 inch prints with a 12x12 inch mat. All mats have a circular viewing area that showcases the mandala.
